I don't have access to the VX Nano here, and I'd like to have a mouse sooner rather than later. The Revo is about 10 bucks (CDN) more than the V450.

    Any advantage to either?

its primary purpose is just to act as an alternative to the touchpad, but I woudln't mind doing some gaming on it as well. My MX518 is just too heavy to carry around.

Go for the Revo... Have you ever held that thing in your hand? Its wonderful, not too small, good weight and lots of customizable buttons....

Yep I know its comfy. But the wheel is not something that I NEED.

I guess I could use it for its performance? :p

You can set the wheel to be 'regular' with the typical ratcheting feel. So you aren't just stuck with a feature you don't need or may not like. Honestly i think that the free spinning thing is well and fine and all but I don't require it for my needs and i would probably get tired of it eventually. But its nice to have the feature for when i need it. For me It was the battery gauge, the single AA battery requirements and the number of buttons on it that sold me. To me the only thing that would make it better would be for it to have the micro receiver from the nano, but its still the one that I am about to buy.
