I've been thinking about getting a BT mouse for my laptop, so transceiver less is my preference here. The two I've heard quite much about are the Logitech V470 and the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. I'm kinda after size, because the moues I'm using right now is wired, and it's a standard Microsoft Optical Mouse which I love the size and form factor of. I saw the Microsoft BT mouse, looked a tiny bit small, obviously I'm not after portability here. Is the Logitech more on the norm of size? Are there any other inexpensive, but quality brand name mice to choose from? Thanks.

V470 shape is very bulbous... very arched. In area it is quite small but it goes up very high. I find it uncomfortable but some people like it. I now use a Kensington Bluetooth Slimblade Trackball mouse, which I find much more comfortable... it has a much flatter shape. The Bluetooth on the Kensington can be a little finicky though, at least with my computer... sometimes makes me wish I got a non-BT mouse.

How about this one Radtech BT500

I was looking at the Kinsington Bluetooth Slimblade, I actually did buy a wireless kinsington mouse, but found it too flat for me, and the build quality wasn't that great on that particular model (it was the one that could be used wired as well). The Radtech looks alright, but I don't know much about Radtech, and if I were going to spend that much, I might as well get a more expensive Logitech.

I stopped using the MS 5000 mouse after a couple of weeks because of its size, it's just too small. It may be ok for occasional use, but very uncomfortable for daily use. I also have a Sony BT mouse that I prefer.

I recommend the Dell 5-button Bluetooth Travel Mouse:
It's a great size, and is one of the few BT mice with 5 buttons and side-scrolling. I'm used a Logitech G9, but this Dell Bluetooth Travel Mouse is not uncomfortable at all.

That dell is one of the nicer looking BT mice I have seen.

Also, I should add that the physical shape of the mouse is completely ambidextrous, although both of the thumb buttons are on the left side of the mouse, i.e. designed for right-handed use. You can still use it quite comfortably in your left hand, though, especially if you can use the buttons with your ring finger or pinkie.
To be honest, my only complaint about it is that the little Bluetooth LED does not stay on...it only flashes when it's in Discoverable mode, and comes on for about two seconds when it makes the initial connection. I wish there were a way to keep it on. Not much of a complaint. -
3 Mice I would recommend:
Logitech VX Nano...very popular here on the forum.

Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 Mac/Windows - I have it..works great..for BT..and is also very popular on the forum..very reliable!

Dell 5-button Bluetooth Travel Mouse: (I use this on my Mini 9 Netbook, and sometimes on my XPS 1530)Very reliable, and priced nicely!
If you want to stay with a reliable, quality name brand..stick with Logitech...they just seem to make some awesome Mice..and you can always find fanastic deals!

But it might not suit your preference if inexpensive is more the key here than the size. -
Wow! Thanks guys! The Dell looks the most likely to be my pick right now, especially at that price point comparable to the other models I was looking at. The MS 5000 mouse I saw, was a tad too small for me, I want full size mouse, and the Dell mouse looks perfect. Does anyone know anymore about this, or anyone else have any other input. I'm most concerned with battery life, I'll be using rechargables, but I don't want to have to keep swapping batteries. If anyone knows how much BT affects battery life of a laptop that would help, specifically for the HP dv5t, since that's what I have. Also, I saw a side view picture of it, the front of it looks really flat, and low. How's the comfort of these mice? I'm used to using the Microsoft Optical Wheelmouse, which is generic, but very comfortable for me, especially my wrist. On more thing is, is this laser or LED? Thanks again, the white glossy looks really nice.
EDIT: Just noticed, I saw pics of a red one, but Dell only has Black and White, matte and glossy for black. Where did you guys get other colors? I'm most likely getting a black glossy if I do choose to get this mouse, but just wondering.
Trying out an Apple Mighty Mouse with my laptop to see how fast the power drain is, not sure yet, just started. But this thing is heavy, because of the batteries. Are BT mice usually this heavy? I don't really like this one becaues of it's entirity being a giant button, it's kinda hard to use, I feel like I'm constantly pinching it on the sides to move it instead of resting my palm on it. -
My Dell mouse uses two AA batteries, and it's been well over a month now and there's no sign of weakness so far. Not sure about the lesser capacity rechargeable types, though. It's an optical (LED) mouse, not laser, and very comfortable. As I mentioned before, I'm used to the excellent comfort of my Logitech G9, and this still doesn't feel awkward at all. It's a good comfortable shape.
I don't notice any obvious power drain, either. My battery life is still pretty comparable to what it was before I got this mouse. -
Size of BT Mice?
