    Hey everyone,

A couple days ago, I picked up an Insprion 13 (1318) at Best Buy. A pretty sweet deal at $699 with 9-cell battery included.

The 9-cell, however, makes the laptop about 2" thick at the rear, which leads me to my first question. Anyone out there found a good sleeve for this particular make and model? I'm considering Brenthaven's Eclipse 1 SL, as I'm a fan of Brenthaven's stuff, but I'm just concerned about the fit. I want something that's snug, but not too tight.

Second question: Anyone know of a product similar to Marware's that will fit with the Inspiron 1318? Or has anyone made their own palm rest cover?

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Cheers,
    Drew75

i went ghetto and just used a new wash cloth. if you know someone with sewing machine skills or do it yourself, you could cut out & resew the middle for the trackpad.

yeah, my solution isn't pretty but it works. :D

I also got this mat http://www.cyberguys.com/product-details/?sk=MC71419&productID=25378 and used a scissor & exacto knife to make a palm rest myself. its pretty big so if you mess up, you can try again.

beats paying for something, you can easily do it yourself
