I'm looking for a sleeve for my Dell 700m with extended battery. I plan to put it in a backback or other carrier. I am a student that will need a sleeve that provides enough support for the laptop when it is in a bag with my textbooks. I would prefer having a handle but it is not necessary.

My boyfriend has the shinza for his laptop and I feel mine will fit too tight and I called Sumdex about their fit and they said that mine is too wide. I'm looking for the snuggest fit without being TIGHT.

The dimensions of my laptop with battery are approximately 11.7 x 9.2 x 1.5

    THANKS! [ :)]

I have a 700m and I found a great sleeve/bag for around $35.00. It is made of high quality material and fits perfect with the 8 cell battery. It has a handle and also a shoulder strap. (Skooba) By RoadWired. Great Case!!

    Check it out here: http://www.ebags.com/roadwired/skooba_sleeve_compact/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=47940

I have been looking for a sleeve that fits the 700m as well so I ordered the shinza zeroshock sleeve. I read somewhere here that it would fit the 700m with the extended battery albeit snuggly. How would you describe the shinza's sleeve fit in the 700m? I hope I don't have to send mine back. :)

Thanks for all of the suggestions. In the end I opted for the Roadwired Compact sleeve and I am very happy with it. More information can be found here http://www.ebags.com/roadwired/advanced_protection_system_compact_computer_sleeve/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=9133 and on www.roadwired.com

    Personal opinion on the bag:

Pros: small (fits 700m with extended battery with only about 1 cm to spare), bottom spring to absorb shock, handle on top of bag, removable shoulder strap. Protects againt Corrosion, water spills, and impact padding. It will fit nicely into another bag/backpack (its only slightly bigger than a 1 inch binder).

Cons: Velcro flap may be loud when opening, accessory pouch is not big enough to fit anything thick (this doesn't matter to me though). Don't think a flap is needed since it is a sleeve. The hooks for the shoulder strap are on the back of the sleeve rather on the sides (not a con though).

I read a review that somebody used this sleeve and their laptop fell out but that is impossible if they zippered close the inside pocket where the laptop fits.

Hope this helps for others looking for a sleeve.

do you know if that compartment under the flap can fit a mobile USB wireless mouse?
    <hr height='1' noshade id='quote'></font id='quote'></blockquote id='quote'>

It will fit a wireless mouse but then I dont think the velcro will close properly if at all. This bag/sleeve is pretty much just for the laptop. I put some cleaning wipes in the zippered compartment but thats about it.

I have the larger Vyper sleeve, the interior dimensions are not expandable because the shell is rigid molded nylon composite.
