I am personally not too big on sleeves and finding protective carrriers for large 17in notebooks are difficult to find. I would personally look to backpacks to better distribute the weight of a large notebook like that.

You have a couple of choices. You can get something from booq.com . You could get Contour Pro 17inch from Kensington, but it is a laptop bag, not sleeve. It does have a sleeve inside of it that will fit the 9300, and you can take it out and attach the strap to it.

I'm using Tekstyl's Tekmod XL, and I think its great. It makes the 9300 seem alot lighter compared to carrying it in a backpack.

    You might also try ebags

    hope this helps,
    SG

That doesn't make much sense. Weight distributed evenly with two straps and centered rather than one side seems as though it would benefit. That would only make sense if the backpack itself had quite a bit of weight.

lol, well my backpack had quite a bit of weight. By the time you add accessories, notebook, any books you are carrying for school...it starts to weigh a ton. Plus considering how big the 9300 is, the backpacks are huge and bulky. The 9300 starting weight is at 8 1/2 pounds with 6 cell, so an extra 8 pounds in a backpack makes it feel heavier and you notice the weight more. The tekmod is just a fancy sleeve for the laptop. It has no space for accessories or anything, so its alot easier for me to carry that, and put everything else in my regular backpack.

There has been a couple of people complain about the weight in the backpack. I know Qwester has a 17in fujitsu, and he switched over to a booq sleeve since his backpack started to weigh so much.

Ya those bags get too big when made more for 17"ers. I love the booq sleeve, especially when you consider how large that back pack will be on a plane. I already used it on a flight a month ago and it was great when running around an airport to a connecting flight that you are late for :D and I'll be using it again tomorrow on my way to DXB

My Tekstyl's Tekmod XL barely fits 9300. Not a good choice! An no room for accessories either, even for power supply. Mouse fits ;)

lol, yeah its a pretty tight fit, but at least it would be secured tightly. The zipper keeps scratching the rim, but i still like the bag. I think the booq sleeve is probably the best choice, although you won't be able to fit accessories in it either.
