    Hi,
I've been checking out a few sites for a sleeve for my Compaq V2000. Anyone has a recommendation for a sleeve that fits the V2000 perfectly and isn't too expensive?

May I suggest the Sumdex ImpactGuard 14.1" case? I have one and it fits my V2000Z perfectly. It has excellent quality and protection with 'SensaTech' memory foam. I used a coupon code for 10% off and free shipping. Click link to activate coupon, link. It says just for Ski & Snowboard Bags, but works for this product as well. After clicking coupon activation link go to the product page with reduced price and free shipping.

Yes go to Microcenter - i found a beautiful black one made of memory foam. It fits perfectly and snugly on the 14 inch widescreen v2000z's and it zips up nicely with a handle on it. and the portion behind the screen has a thin band that goes on the top cornes, so when its open the case can stay on it. I love it! its was like 25$, i dont remember the exact name but on the handle it says Macally.

Just found out that there is a "hidden" $9.99 mail-in-rebate available for this item. In your cart, there is the option to get a magazine subscription for free. At the bottom of that in fine print, it says "Click here if you prefer to receive a rebate." When you "Click here", you'll see this:

In other words, you can send in your email confirmation to get $9.99 in the mail! :D

I just got my 14.1" sumdex impactguard sleeve today, and, as my third sleeve, I think I finally have a winner. It's got a bit more room thickness-wise than I need for my t43, but it seems to be a good sleeve, and I'm happy with the purchase.
