This has been driving me crazy.

I am looking for a simple sleeve/"slip case" for my new MacBook Pro 15 Unibody to carry inside my bagpack. I want a case/sleeve that I can quickly slip the MBP quickly into and out. No zippers and no velcro. My preference would be quick magnetic snaps on a cover flap but I have not found anything.

Ironically, my wife's XPS M1330 comes with a free sleeve that I like. It's simple and has a magnetic snap that works perfect. So it's getting to the point where I am -crazy- thinking what about getting one of these for the M1530: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Dell-XPS-Lap...item1c0f4740d7
although I have no idea if it would be the right size (and I would prefer a vertical sleeve).

Any help here? I think I've looked through all the case manufacturers that are specific to Apples and I haven't found what I am looking for.

    Thanks,
    -Alex

Thanks but my difficulty is that I want no zippers and no velcro.

The latter (ivolution suit) would work in that case... zero insertion/extraction time, since it's on all the time. There are a number of flapped sleeves I can think of, but all of them seem to be for the 13-inch.

Hmm, interesting... it certainly looks good (and holy cow pricey!). However, the suit is not exactly what I am looking for. I like the laptop as it is - I don't need a skin on it. I just want some protection for it when it sits in my backpack.

    But thanks for the ideas!

Do you know anyone who is a seamstress or good at sewing? For someone who knows that they are doing its not hard to make a simple slip case. Just an idea im throwing out there as i know someone who does this.

Good point. I should have thought about that - I have one for the Air collecting dust somewhere. The problem with the sleeve is that it's not very immediate - there's a certain degree of pulling and tugging, as you might expect with a neoprene sleeve, but it is defo an option for the OP.

I had the M1330 sleeve (possibly the best thing about the POS that was the machine, although pretty overweight for what it is IMO - I had a much nicer semi-case-sleeve from Sony for the SZ which was lighter to boot) and after actually bothering to read and not skim the post :p I know what the OP is getting at. But I just can't think of one that's an exact fit for a 15-inch, which is why I suggested the Vaja.

And the above guy = spammer.

I'm curious, why no velcro? I highly recommend the sleevecases from Waterfield ( www.sfbags.com), however if you choose to get a closing flap, it would be sealed with a high quality velcro. You can however choose to omit the flap, which might not be necessary if you are storing it inside another bag.

That (and I'm going by the whole-case view) looks *really* rough - for what went inside my custom bags (i.e. will never be seen since it's leather-encased) I've rejected a lot better. $200 I guess is a fair price for it though, but I have a feeling it'll date both physically and otherwise quickly.
