Can anyone recommend a nice sleeve for the Asus z70va?

I was looking at the Booq PowerSleeve L and PowerSleeve 15. With they fit 15.4" laptops? Specifically the z70va.

Feel free to recommend something else.

Also, what are some nice backpacks/messenger bags you like? I'm sure I'll be buying one in the near future.

I think the Sumdex sleeves are the best ones on the market, for the soft sided class that is. As to bags, there are a thousand options. Depends on what you want to spend and the features. Browse through ebags to see what's out there.

I own a Sumdex sleeve and it fits the Z70va like a glove. It does not move at all, and barely zips up :)

It'll also fit in the size 31 sleeve by WaterField Designs, according to their website.

i have a sumdex also and like coriolis said it is one snug fit. the only complaints i have is that sometimes i wish the zippers went all the way around and sometimes i wish it didnt have handles as it makes it a bit hard to fit in my backpack. other than that, it's a pretty good sleeve.

The handles are indeed a pain at times...

But overall, its awesome, its not as protective as its not a hard case...

I got the Tom Bihn Brain Cell and jeez, the BC is like armor!

I have that exact sleeve, no use for it now, if you want, I can sell it to someone :p

    $25 shipped? ;)

coriolis, could you post some pictures of it? The ones on the website are pretty small.

The Booq PowerSleeveXXL also is an option I'm considering. Should I go with the XXL or 15? I'm not sure which one will fit better.

Wow, thanks a lot. Is there any room for a network card or small items like pens, a paper, etc.

Conceptual that is the exact question I've been asking people for a while now and I got a reply from the original person who said he owned a Booq PowerSleeve 15 with a Z70Va.

He said it fits like a glove, but wouldn't that mean you can't really fit anything else into the zippered pocket? Since it's so tight there would be no room for it to stretch a bit right?

He didn't have pictures as he sold his Z70Va, but he said to take his word for it. Plus he's selling his sleeve, but said I'd be better off buying a new one.

I'm thinking of getting the Booq PowerSleeve 15 and then slipping it into my knapsack, since that way I can just carry my laptop in the Booq sleeve whenever I just need the laptop. That way everything's still stylish and protected, but comfortable in my knapsack whenever I need to carry lots of stuff.

    Cheers,
    Mike

If you want a "sleeve plus" kind of thing, check out Waterfield Designs. They offer a piggy-back for their sleeves that you might like.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'd like to be able to carry just my laptop and small accessories (e.g. network card, pens, paper, whatever) or be able to fit it in a backpack.

    I think I found our answer. Alright, according some site the z70va is 13.9" x 10.7" x 0.87"~ 1.34" (WxDxH), whereas the Booq PowerSleeve15 is 13.75" x 10.9" x 2.0". I'm sure it'll expand 0.15". It seems like a perfect fit.

Right you are, I think I might do that, but I also found a backpack that will fit the Z70Va.

The North Face Recon backpack. I emailed them about the size and they said it will fit.

I might also get the Booq Sleeve since that would be nice to have since I can't carry a backpack to meetings and stuff.

Dang that's more money out of my pocket. :(

Check it out guys the Recon from The North Face is an awesome looking bag, but only in black, the other colors make it look weird.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Just a tip for those that might be looking at the Case Logic neoprene sleeve for their Z70va's... if your wanting a tight fitting, hard sided unit, this is not for you. The 15.4" model#NCLE2. Here.

The Z70va fits inside easily and the zippers don't appear to come close to contacting the body but when I put mine in, I could hold the sleeve and literally feel the notebook sliding around in the sleeve. Not exactly what I was expecting..

Sorry no pics, cameras being repaired.
