I really liked the features of this bag, but you see him put it on towards the end and it's huge.

Anyone know of any bags that'll fit a 15.6" laptop with this kind of form?

I realize 15.6" isn't small so perhaps it would have to be bigger, but I'm trying to avoid huge![]()
I had a Karrimor bag previously that was similar, but it doesnt seem like they make it anymore.

Jansport and REI make a wide variety of bags, and their build quality is absolutely top-notch. If you want "slim," check the dimensions before you buy or look for compression straps. A "slim" bag to me means around 5"-8" thickness. I'm actually looking for a similar bag myself, and I've got my eye on the Dakine Apex. It's almost exactly like the Nomad in your top picture there, only a bit thicker.

I saw the Apex too. Are you planning on getting a laptop sleeve to put inside the bag?

SFBags - WaterField Designs - Laptop Sleeve - TSA Checkpoint Friendly - TSA Good - MacBook Pro - MacBook Air Sleeve - Macbook Air Case - Notebook Sleeve - Computer Sleeve - Laptop Case
This doesn't look too bad. You can customize it to your exact laptop size, no flap, no shoulder strap and it should work as a backpack sleeve like the one inside this bag.
Guess this would allow you the flexibility to use any bag you wanted. Think an M4600 would fit in the Apex? -
timbuk2 zeitgeist i have i fairly slim. although pictures of it on their website make it look kinda big

I think my m4600 will be too big to fit into any of these realistically. I picked up a STM Scout Medium bag which looks like it'll fit the laptop and my Wacom. I'll post pictures if anyone's interested when I get it. I still want that Dakine bag, may have to get it sometime in the future
"Slim" backpack for 15.6"
