Not bad LaCie makes good prebuilt externals, but it wouldn't be much bigger to get a 1TB drive off newegg + an enclosure and save some cash probably.

No mention about the size, if its same a regular 3.5” enclosure, then there is absolutely no point in paying $800. That is 4 times the cost of a 3.5” 1TB drive with an external USB enclosure.
Unless it draws power from the USB port, this is going to be pretty much useless given the price. -
I'm almost positive it is using 2x2.5" 500GB drives. That means the risk of failure is 2x.
