It would be great if you can test it somehow. Also what do you think about the monitor good, bad, worth the price?

i don't have any experience with the Nvidia 3D, or any PC 3D content for that matter, so i really wouldn't even know where to start.

if u can show me how to get it working, with my existing equipment, then i'd be more than happy to mess around with it a bit.

as far the display, it's actually been quite a pleasant surprise. i got it as an xmas present, so i didn't have any prior expectations. if u are comparing this display to bigger LED tv's then it will definitely leave u wanting a bit more as a main display. most ppl will want something bigger to use as a main display and it's contrast/picture quality is not up to par with bigger LED TV's. i'd rate it's picture quality at around a 6.5/10. with 10 being the best full-LED/plasma TV.

if u want to get this display for secondary use then it's perfect. it's one of the best displays, feature-wise, in it's class. it's extremely hard to find a 1080p 3D display in such a small size. the Simulview technology is just icing on the cake. at it's $300 price point, i think it's a great bargain because the bundle will come with the display, a 3D game, and active 3D glasses. it has become a great convenience in my every day life. especially when there's sports games on, and i feel like watching the game while playing a bit of CoD. i have mine set up on my rolling laptop cart and dubbed it "The Portable PS3 Station". :D :D :D

excuse all the wires. the mics, mixer, 5.1 speakers, subwoofer, and receiver are all new so i haven't had time to rework everything and make it tiddy yet.

The 2D-3D upconvert on my Samsung UN55D6400 works pretty well, so if the PS3 3D display has a 2D-3D function you could go with that. It's not a "true" 3D but it'll take some strain off of your GPU (unless you were looking to test out the 3D capabilities of it, then ignore this).

    i have a Samsung PN59D7000 upstairs. i was talkin about "real" 3D. :p upconverting from 2D to 3D just isn't the same.

I have a 3d vizio passive 3d lcd and it works just fine displaying 3d from HDMI out on my 17R. I played most of the 3d videos on youtube that way. I'm almost certain that it will work just as good on the sony tv, even though its active and not passive.

You can check out this link for info for playing PC 3D games with the PS3 display.

    3DTV Play - Playstation 3D Display 24" Support? - NVIDIA Forums

The gist of it, is that Nvidia does not officially support 3D vision or 3DTV Play for this display.

But there is a workaround it and people have installed custom INFs for it to work with 3DTV play. And I believe it mentions the display is limited to 1080p/24hz or 720p/60hz.

IMO, you are better off buying a monitor that is 3D Vision supported and has HDMI inputs for your PS3. I have the Asus VG278H monitor and I've tested it with the PS3 and it works, the 3D vision glasses works with it. The game I tested it on was Stardust 3D. I also tested Smurfs 3D and it works too.

I'd like to mention, although that the PS3 works with the Asus VG278H, I'm not sure if it'll work with other monitors. Also, the monitor has to have a built-in emitter otherwise this wouldn't work either.
