I have a Sony Vaio S series and am using a USB numeric keypad. When I turn on the numlocks on the USB keypad it also turns on the numlocks on the laptop keyboard making the j,k,l etc. numeric values. Does anyone know how I can have the numlocks on the USB keypad on but have the keyboard numlocks off. I have tried turning them off on the keyboard but it also shuts it off on the keypad.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I'm not sure that it's possible to be honest with you. I do know some products support this, but I think it's in the hardware. For instance, Targus has a wireless keypad that can work without messing with your keyboard.
