Anyone try both of these MP3 players?
I think I can get a 4GB Sony for about $140, and an 8GB Sansa Video for the same price.
4GB is enough for me, so just wondering which player works better, has better interface/software, easy to use, etc.
Thanks!

I have a Sony and I love it. Sansa doesn't ring a bell when it comes to audio quality.

I love the Sony too, I have the 4GB model. It also doubles as a flash memory, and is as portable as many memory sticks.

sansa is pretty good and honestly i don't think you'll notice much difference between the two. i can't tell the difference between ipod and a sansa. sound quality wise, you're better off investing in decent pair of earphones.

Bad audio source + great headphones = average sound
Great audio source + average headphones = great sound -

By the way, the UI on the Sonys is great. And the sound quality is great. And there's no software to speak of... I just use it with Windows Media Player.
If you're looking at the Sansa View, it does have a much bigger screen... but it's a much bigger device overall too. So if you care much about video, I'd get something like the View... but if not, get the Sony. (Video works fine on the Sony too, but their screens are pretty small.) -
maybe you guys have poor quality mp3's but my ipod and sansa sound great. i tried my friends zen and zune and they also sounded great using same earphones. so i don't think the difference is actually bad to great. it's more of average to above average. but whatever it's personal experience/opinion.
