My computer desk has space for one laptop by the time I add in everything else I need to work.
Obviously, I have two laptops, one that's the company's and one that's my personal property.
I'd like to stack them vertically, does anyone have any suggestions for a stand/platform that would do the job for me?
One's an IBM T41, the other is a Dell Inspiron 9100...
Cheers,

Stacking as in to stow it?? Not to actually use it?? If you just want to stack them so they are out of the way, I'd check out Staples or OfficeMax and just pick up a couple of stackable desk organizers. You can usually find larger sizes for larger size paper. If no luck there, I'd go to an off-beat furniture store. I find the most useful products in the small, out of the way places.

This is to use. I have a KVM switch which I use to share between machines, and I'd like to stack the laptops vertically on the desk shelf. I will rarely travel with both machines. I suppose mesh desk organizers might do the trick.
I curse the genius who decided that the VGA port belongs on the right side of the T41
Too damned many peripherals to give each laptop its own shelf.
Thanks

I would just look for monitor stands. There are lots of models made to hold a monitor up a bit and stow a keyboard underneath. I bet something like that would work well for what you are trying to do. With one that is set up like THIS you could easily slide the bottom one in and out even with wires attached on the sides. (Not endorsing that model, just using it to help you visualize the type of swept back design that I think will work well in your situation). Good Luck!

Yep, that would do the trick rather nicely! Thanks for the suggestion.
For now, it's off to cursing the decision to put the VGA and hardwire NIC connections on the sides rather than the back on the Thinkpad.

I ordered the "Jr." version of the stand, which will do the job just fine!
Thanks again []

How great is the Internet that I can google 'stacking laptops' and stumble upon this post 2.5 years down the road. I have almost the exact situation, with nearly the same computers. The solution's PERFECT. It must be karma, as the original posts were on my birthday too.
