Hi, I just bought a M14X, what kind of stand or elevator do you guys recommend? Also what do you recommend I put the laptop on when I'm working on my lap? Thanks in advance.

I bought the notepal U3 for my m18x and this thing is just perfect. It keep your laptop cool enough and the build quality is very good. You could get the notepal U2 for your m14x which is a little bit smaller and have 2 fans instead of 3.

It works pretty well for me on a lap, but this is not the best for it.

It hurts after a while having it on your lap not really ideal :| Try a laptop desk stand, or a bed table :D

By an elevator stand,do you mean something that actually raises it?

The Lenovo Essential Stand has that capability and caters for all but the heaviest 17-inchers.
The 'brutalist' design will probably also suit the Alienware.
