Ive been searching for a new mouse pad lately as the desk just isn't cutting it anymore. Anyway, I'm very attracted to the I-2 and the idea of a glass mousing surface, and ive been attempting to do some research as its an expensive mousing surface, and i want to make sure its compatible with laser mice. Its confusing as on the steel series website it says, compatible with optical and ball mice, and on newegg its listed as also being compatible with laser mice. If anyone can confirm that a black I-2 will work with my razer mamba it would greatly be appreciated.

Yes. The SteelSeries I-1 and I-2 are compatible with all laser mice. However, your laser mouse may be confused if you don't clean the sweat off the glass every now and then. Unlike cloth mousepads that can absorb sweat and won't affect tracking, glass mousepads can't and the sweat will just stay on the surface.
