Hello, my friend had a analog Steelseries 7H and i bought it from him, however after a few days right earpiece just died all of a sudden, checking wires and stuff does nothing it's just totally dead.

I saw FAQ section on Steelseries website that If one earpiece of 7H just dies then it may be MicroUSB cable at fault, now before i throw this away i just want to give new cable a try,

my question is now that i can't get new micro usb cable from steelseries, can a standard 3.5mm to MicroUSB work? because it won't have that volume control like the one on steelseries cable?

    original cable is like this
