I run a few times a week and often on some uneven terrain. I am wondering if anyone has a good suggestion for a bluetooth headset??? I have a Blackberry 8900 that I carry with me while running. It's not too bad but I'm thinking of getting me a headset and an armband to stow the Blackberry in. Sweat is a factor with the headset (and possibly armband) as I was considering the Motorola S9 but comments left on a review indicate that sweat will muck with the S9's headset. Now I'm looking at the Motorola S7-HDs.
I listen to hip-hop, rock, drum n bass, trance, and pretty much everything. Sound is a biggie! Bass, good midrange, and clear treble would be nice. An armband I've seen is constructed with neoprene so I may go with that.
Any suggestions???

Would you consider wired headphones?
The reason I say that is because wireless headphones are heavier and bulkier, because they have batteries and a wireless transmitter/receiver in them. My main worry is that they might fall off when you are running around with them, and smash onto a rock or something. Wired headphones are going to be a lot lighter on your head, provide better sound quality, and be cheaper. They will probably also survive falling out of your ears, too, if that ever does happen to you. -

By far, my favorite workout headphones are the Sennheiser CX-300B headphones. About $22 - $30 right now on Amazon. Small, lightweight, and inexpensive.
I prefer earbuds or canalphones because of weight and comfort. And I've tried a lot of them before finding the Sennheiser CX-300B's. They are a great balance between sound quality, weight, and price. However, if you'd prefer, here are two other recommendations from the good folks at Head-Fi.org:
- Behind-the-head style: Koss SportaPro. $21
- Clip-on Style: Koss KSC50. About $20 from various places on the internet. -
One possible option is something like the Nokia BH-214.
Nokia BH-214 Review (Phone Arena Reviews)
It's a clip-type Bluetooth stereo headset which can probably be secured against your person somehow, while the standard 3.5mm jack means you can plug anything into it, as far as the headphone bit is concerned.
And I mean anything
So you can plug in the included buds or some cheap & nasty's while working out, then replace it for something half decent for everything else. Bluetooth audio is not the best out there, but I can say that the BH-214 gives about as high a quality of audio out of the jack as is possible for Bluetooth.
Jabra do a similar one. Haen't tried it.

Hmmm.. the Sennheisers seem nice for in-ear wireds. For the BT some headsets seem to have a problem with the sound clipping. I'm going to research a little more. Thanks guys!
