    Hello Friends,
    I have Sony laptop ( E series ). It's DVD writer is not functioning properly ( only reading CD, no DVD reding/writting ) So I want to take External DVD writter.
    My usage are limited so dont want multifunction writer.
    Can anyone help me ?
    Is it neccessary to buy Sony external DVD writer for Sony laptop ? Or any comapny External DVD writer will be ok ?

    I have Desktop SATA HDD. I want to connect HDD to my laptop. How to do that ? Any connector is available ?

    I don't know how difficult it is, but you might be able to find a used Sony E series drive on eBay inexpensively. I'd poke around the Sony forum for more details. Otherwise, external drives on eBay are fairly cheap. A desktop drive will offer you faster write times if you care.

    All you need for the hard drive is an external enclosure with a USB connector.
