Just got a Dell 1520 with the 9 - cell battery and I'm in the market for backpack. I travel a little for work so I need a bag that has good padding and has enough pockets to hold my Garmin GPS, glasses & sunglasses, and a folder/notebook. Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Thanks

I just got a 1520 inspiron, and I am looking for a bag for it as well. Right now I am considering the Wenger Rival or the Wenger Maxxum. However, I have seen reviews saying that they don't fit some 15.4" notebooks. Seeing as the inspiron is widescreen and big for its screen size, I am concerned.

I have also read that you have to get the 17in model to fit the 1520 for those Wenger bags

Yeah, now I am considering the Pegasus, by Wenger. Or the Targus XL, but I'm afraid that one is just too big.

go to any army surplus store, theres tons of bags there that would fit the 1520. as I'm also on the market i've been looking and on a more serious note I'd suggest either an ogio backpack (which I'm considering), tumi backpacks or a targus which shouts "notebook inside" but is still a good bag

i was wondering about that, because the 1520 is a pretty bulky laptop compared to other 15.4' notebooks in its class. does anyone actually have a 1520 and a bag who can share with us? thanks!!

Try the Spire Torq. It comes with a removable sleeve (called the 'Boot') which will fit the 1520 w/9 cell battery. I believe you'd need the 3XL size sleeve.

Well I took the plung and ordered the SYNERGY Computer Backback. Out of all the ones I was looking at it seems to be big enough, but not look like I'm going camping. I will let you guys knows how it is when I get it.

Got my SYNERGY, and it fits the 1520 like a glove. It's a little bigger then I'm uses to but it's a nice bag.
