I just bought my first laptop, Dell 600M, I would perfer to keep by current medium size backpack and just get a sleeve, so I can just put my laptop in my backpack, however, even with a sleeve is it a good idea to put a few books in the bag with the sleeve or should I just get a laptop backpack? and I'm wondering if the Sumdex impactGuard will do the job? any comments

Here is a quote from the review. Since you read the review, you have already seen this but this is atleast one person, I suppose.

I plan to get the Sumdex sleeve myself.

I can honestly say that I feel better with my P7000 in this sleeve.<hr height='1' noshade id='quote'></font id='quote'></blockquote id='quote'>

I think it's best to use a sleeve with a notebook backpack. The more padding the better.

Just about any backpack should fit it. I don't know what you mean by inexpensive, but I'd scoot around www.ebags.com for ideas.

I bought one of these last week for my Gateway. It's not as padded as I was expecting. It's a nice sleeve to add to a bag or backpack but I don't trust it much by itself for protection if something dropped on it or it was dropped.

Hi, i have been using mine for a few months now and I just love it... I do think it will be always better to have a combination of Sleeve and good notebook case as Brian suggested....

I bought mine from http://genpi.com/shop/home.php?cat=117 perfect service and incredible price !

I also bought my first Sumdex bag from www.ebags.com price is ok and servie also great...

It looks like there aren't many stores with sleeves yet, and manufacturers also... it might be a new niche market... Sumdex has a few to choose from.. I wonder what the competition is doing!
