I have 3 of these in my home, Newegg.com - BELKIN F9S800-06 6 feet 8 Outlets 1770 Joules SurgeMaster Superior Series
Will this provide decent protection for my ASUS - ( 150 watt AC adapter plugged in only)\ 19 volt 7.7 amp Also I always leave the battery in while on AC.
I have been using them for a few years, and none has failed .
    I read through this thread,
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...grades/493966-cheapest-surge-protector-2.html
but do not want to go to whole house yet, nor do I want the Cheapest.
Also I always unplug the computer anytime there is a threat of thunderstorms.
Thanks for any advice, and Happy 4th to all ! Josea

I've been using a 4 socket variant(cheaper) of the belkin one you linked with my g73 since the beginning and another one with a 42" plasma for quite some time and have never faced any problems with them..
