Hi there. I am thinking about buying this backpack for my M1530 (15.4") but I am not sure if this is what I am looking for.

I mean, I bought my backpack with a "Targus Campus Backpack", but I didn't notice it was the "XL version, up to 17" so the backpack is too... tall? high? I don't really know how to say it.

So, this is the SwissGear http://www.amazon.com/SYNERGY-SwissGear-Wenger-Computer-Backpack/dp/B0007CIX1O
and this is my "current backpack" http://www.amazon.co.uk/Targus-Campus-Notebook-Backpac-Carrying/dp/B00068OEOO but mine was called "Campus XL - Up to 17"" and this one is for 15.4" (which would be perfect, I can't find the 17" ).

What do you think? Is the SwissGear smaller or bigger than the Targus? The targus was a lot bigger/taller than my current non-laptop backpack, and I don't really need it to be so tall.

Finally, I'm also considering this backpack http://www.xataka.com/2008/02/07-mochila-aspen-capacidad-y-proteccion-incluso-contra-la-lluvia but I think it may be... to small. What do you think?

EDIT: Forgot to say, I can't find the SwissGear or the Aspen in my city, so I'd have to buy them online, without trying them first (as I did with this targus 17")

Oh, wow...tough call. I really like the SwissGear Synergy Backpack after looking at it, and the one you were looking at buying ;) :)

The SwissGear, and the one you currently have look similar in size. The SwissGear, just looks like it might work for you ;) :) Just my opinion though~ :D

Remember, you can always get both..and return the one that doesn't work for you when ordering online ;) :D

Unfortunately, I can't return any backpack because I will have to order it from... UK as SwissGear isn't sold here in Spain.

I also like the look of the SwissGear, but I'm not totally sure :p (Maybe I won't like it when it arrives, like my Targus...)

Oh no!! So, you really do have to make some *swift* decisions! LOL ;) :)

Well, I wish I could help you...but that decision is yours! ;) :)

Personally, I really liked the SwissGear ;) :) (my opinion though) ;) :D

    Thanks, hehe.

Maybe I should wait till I go to the mainland (I live in a... special city) and I can go to a mall where the Portdesigns Aspen is sold and see it in person and decide whether to buy that or to order a SwissGear.

PS: I have always wondered... Who's that pretty girl from your avatar, Cin' ?

The Swissgear bags are good. The Maxxum may be another option which looks a bit smaller than the Synergy. You could also look into the Teton. It's a nice price at Morgan who also have the Rival.

I have both the Swissgear Star and the Rival but have never used the latter because it can hold more than I ever want to carry.

Thanks, I had already read it, but I can't tell if it's bigger or smaller than my current backpack by the pictures.

I'd need to see it in person :p

I've decided to go with the Synergy, and I just had a question about getting it from Buy.com. Any help would be appreciated.

Does Buy.com sell the Synergy with the velcro strap or plastic buckle for the laptop compartment?
