I most probably will get the SwissGear Synergy for my Dell XPS M1530 15.4" laptop + school books and accessories.

    Two questions:

    1) Will it be very heavy with notebooks, folders, calculator, and laptop? Aka..Does it distribute weight well?

    2) Will it looks enormous and weird on a person of height 5'6?

Thank you! I just want to make sure I am going to be comfortable before I drop nearly $80 on a backpack (amazon.com had it for $65 but i'll go to my local bestbuy and check it out there first).

You might want to check, if you have a Sam's Club, the Swiss Gear Wired which sells for $39.99. I got my son the XPS1530 for graduation and we found the Wired works great. If you are wanting a snugger fit you could add a sleave but with the straps it seems fully secure. The Wired is advertised for 17" but the big criticism is that it is to tight for most wide screen 17". The store had an all black, red and black, and grey and black but the website only shows the all black.
