Hi!!! I recently ordered a swissgear serge laptop backpack on ebay and i received it today. I have searched online but have not seen a single review with real life pictures. So i decided to create one myself, for all of you who wanted to buy one.

This is a great laptop backpack with all the required compartments. As you can see in the pictures below, the backpack is made from high quality materials.

So this is the front view

    Side view

    Padded shoulder straps

Side view (Both sides contain bottle holders)

First pocket. Good for storing items such as calculators, pens, small pieces of papers, etc.

Second pocket, where the badge of swissgear is embroidered. Good for storing bottles, bread, etc.and also storing your mp3 players, etc.

Actual laptop compartment. You can see the padded compartment and a few small other compartments to store your mouse, ipod, earphones, etc.

See how my apple macbook pro 15.4" fits perfectly. I hear the unibody macbook pro is a bit wider than most 15.4" laptops, so yours should have no problems fitting in.

See my book, my mouse, a bottle of water and my earphones fitting in the laptop compartment. I could have added 2 more copybooks of 120 pages each.

Swissgear does not leave any potential risks concerning the security of your laptop.

My macbook pro slides neatly inside the backpack

    Conclusion:
Top quality backpack for university students and for people who don't want to roam with a normal backpack and a normal laptop carry case.

    Pros:
    Lots of compartments
    Padded shoulder straps
    Fits most 15.4" laptops
    High quality materials
    Improved security systems

    Cons:
    Material is not waterproof
    A bit big

Note: Sorry for the blurry and noisy pictures. These were taken from a sony ericsson w800i 2megapixels camera.

Cool, thanks for the pics. Do they have any other color variation? I would like the silver there to be half its shade towards the black color. The shoulder straps look cool :)

Hi! unfortunately, it's available only in this colour. But there are many other swissgear backpcks which will satisfy your criteria. May be you could try the Wenger Swissgear 15.4" Synergy Laptop Backpack.

Haha!!! Thanks Cin!! The Synergy is really beautiful. Btw, the grey parts on my backpack appear more grey in person. I think it's the camera megapixel which has an effect on this.

I have the swissgear pegasus, which seems pretty similar to this one with an extra pocket... Always gets searched at the airport due to all the cables & stuff in there ;)

    Hey Cin!

The other day I was on the employee tram which takes us from employee parking to our building and I noticed that there were three of us all carrying the Synergy.

One of the other guys who had it laughed and turned to me and said, "Nice backpack!"

One friend of mine at work has one that he has beaten up for a couple of years and it is still going strong!

Same here. I always carry a bunch of cables plus an extension cord, along with at least two portable hard drives, a soundbar (Insignia from Best Buy), and folding cooling pad.

LoL...I know it's awesome..I truly put it to the test this past week..I had been housesitting for 10 days..and tossed (well, placed) .my lappy, Portable HD, MP3 player, power adapter, and a bunch of extra stuff in it..and it held up well. More stuff then I had ever placed in the Synergy then before.

True, it was very *heavy* this time...but it held up very well, as expected of the Swiss Gear brand! :D

    Cin ;) :)
