Can anyone recommend a good TV tuner (USB) for my Macbook Pro? I don't know if all tuners have an over the air receiver and for over the air HDTV, but that is definitely something I want. I assume it uses ClearQAM. Thanks for your help.

The Elgato EyeTV Hybrid was definitely one I was considering, however it is quite expensive - $120 (2008) and $140 (2009)...What is the difference between the 2008 and 2009 model?

I saw a few USB Tuners from AverMedia such as the Avermedia AverTV Hybrid Volar Max (ATSC/ClearQAM/NTSC) for $80 and the Hauppauge WinTV (ATSC/ClearQAM/NTSC) for $68. Has anyone had experience with these tuners?

It is quite expensive, I have to say. I have no clue what the difference would be between the 2008 and the 2009, unless it had to do with something with DTV or some issue with ClearQAM. I haven't had any experience with the other TV tuners, but they don't look bad at all. Many people here on NBR have the Hauppauge WinTV, and I've heard good things about it. ;)
