Hello
I was wondering if there was a huge performance difference between the Express Card and CardBus TV tuners. I haven't found any Express Card TV tuners available in Canada (hp's one isn't) and anyway I wonder if I should pay more for one. I have already spotted a CardBus card that seems nice:

What do you think?

Unless you plan to use it mobile with Rabbit Ears, why not get a USB tuner? Then you'll only have a USB cable to the laptop instead of TV coax going to a a card sticking out the side of your laptop.

But people have to go somewhere sometime with a TV tuner that plugs into your laptop. I plan to record TV at my friends' house, as well as video games (using your laptop as a TV for video games in the car). With a USB tuner, there's more cables and less portability.
However, I do recognize it as an option, as it allows dual TV channel tuning. I'm guessing the USB MCE tuner that HP bundled with the ZD8000 should work, but I'm not sure. There's a few up for grabs on eBay.

OR, if you want the ExpressCard, use eBay sellers who ship worldwide.

Id say get USB unless you want it to be portable, if so, go with expresscard. I've used the cardbus one you mentioned and it is poor quality IMO.
