I recently bought a laptop with Vista Ultimate and Windows media center, i'm trying to find a usb tv tuner which is compatible with Vista Ultimate, MCE and Dual core processors. I mention that it is dual core because apparently the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T (which is the one I wanted) does not have drivers which work with dual core processors for some reason  . Any help would be great
    Thanks,

Anything for vista will work for vista ultimate.

Im not sure what MCE is can you enlighten me.

As for dual core support, the hardware doesnt matter, its the software that you want to work with dual core. I cant think of any reason it would be a need tho because one core will run a tv tuner no problems. Dual core would be handy for DIVO type software tho where its recording the video to your hdd, because it has to be compressed in real time usually and thats a cpu heavy task.

Thats what I thought, and was confused why he wanted compatability with xp mce. the program in vista is just windows media center (WMC) ^^

I have used it, I didnt like it much runs slow vs just good ol' windows media player, and thats a big step down from say MPC Media Player Classic.

I suppose WMC has its place for HTPC tho.
