I was wondering what is the better option.

    1) I normally leave the little twisty tie thingy around my mouse wire just to control the length that I want from the wire.

    2) On the other hand, I don't know if this is technically "bad" for the wires. Should I not be doing this?

By the way, I just bought the Cooler Master Storm Xornet gaming mouse and I'd have to say I'm very impressed with this thing so far. The design is very comfortable and molds nicely to your fingers. It has 2 side buttons that are nicely placed. And the interesting part about this mouse is that behind the mouse wheel it has 2 buttons which enable you to switch your DPI between 500, 1000, and 2000 whenever you feel like it. I particularly like this for sniping in shooters. I know I haven't owned this thing for very long but the build seems very solid too. Huge bang for your buck! I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice gaming mouse that won't leave you broke. Here's the link if you're interested...

Don't worry about it. It isn't going to harm anything.
