    does anyone know if targus' airport/safeport system is any more effective than some of the other bags out there? leaning towards either a targus or a samsonite notebook case, and am not sure whether one offers more protection than the other.

    I think they will both offer the protection you need. In the end it somes down to how well the bags handle everything else you need.
