Just an FYI for everyone out there with the Targus Laptop Cooling Bed that they may be using to try to keep the heat under control. The particular bed I am speaking of the the silver plastic one that matched the laptop oh so well! Mine died. Cooling bed that is. Recently I had noticed that my temps were constantly around 120-127deg and just foolishly assumed the cooling bed was working as it operated so quietly but upon further inspection it had died. The power input was loose and it would come on with some jiggling but after a few "jiggles" it was dead.

Just an FYI to anyone interested. I'll be picked up a diff model from compusa soon and will post any results or differences in cooling.

If you haven't picked up a new pad, take a look at the LapCool2. They have 2 different models to choose from. In any event, I'll be interested in your review of your new cooling pad.

The LapCool2 is very light and thin. I use the 2 fan model. It slips into my laptop bag without a problem. I think this is true for most of the coolers out there. These coolers are great at keeping temps down when gaming.
