Hey all, like many of you here who got the Targus backpacks would know, there is a media player pocket with a line out hole on the top of that pocket.

Well something that is concerning me.. not saying that anyone should go out in the rain and all, but sometimes it could happen, I find it odd that Targus would leave the line out hole un protected like that, little rubber but water could easily get inside I would think...

Anyone here ever post a solution or thought about what to do about that hole to better protect it incase of drizzle or rain? So nothing can get inside? Just wondering. =)

You'd have to be submerged for it to be a problem. And if you are, I don't think your MP3 player should be of primary concern ;)

my targus feren book bag, has a slant for the line out hole. its the nylon on top of a piece of elastic. so you need to move both of them, to get into the book bag. i think its a plus, but im not sure if all targus book bags do this

I dont know, I could stick my pinky inside of it and see it poking on the other end.. so if it can do that, water is nothing..

Also Im not worried on the laptop part of it as much since thats closed fully as you know with no open holes. Just makes me worry that water running down could get into that line hole which is what I was wondering about.

actually that's the same for the backpack i have. it seems like water can seep in quite easily. doesn't matter for me too much, though.

Thats what I am worried about... tempted just to tape it up or something.. I mean I dont plan to go out in the rain. but youd think Targus would have thought of that...

Even the grove on.. that advertises water prevention etc. .has the gap.
