Everyone complains about laptop bags because they look two business like, are bulky, or just come in black. Well, I like black...but if you want something that defies the other two points, check out the Victorinox WebSak 2.0.
I picked this bag up online after looking EVERYWHERE for the first version of it last year. It is black, but constructed of ballastic nylon. This makes it quite durable and the material has a nice finish to it. There is a place for just about everything in this bag. Two external pockets can hold cables and accessories. There are also two external side pockets. One of them features mesh. When the pocket is zipped up, the mesh is hidden and basically part of the pocket. Zipped down, it converts to a bottle holder. That impressed me since I can't stand exposed bottle holders. The inside could be a little roomier, but is neatly organized. You have a section for papers. You also have an organizatinal pocket that has about 6 smaller pockets on it. It's perfectly suited for PC-Cards and AC power blocks. The bag ships with a hardened laptop holder that fits in the last section. This is also available for separate purchase. It's very sturdy and puncture proof. It also has suspension straps at the bottom which the promotional material says will handle a drop up to 30ft. The bag also ships with a cellphone holder which can be clipped on the bag or onto clothing. Finally, a feature that hikers and moutain bikers can appreciate, the bag comes with compression straps to aid in slimming the profile. All in all, I was highly impressed.
The one negative I found is just the compression straps are oddly placed. It's a little cumbersome to reach in and grab something quick like a magazine. Other than that, I consider this the perfect bag. You can check it out @ Victorinox. If I can find a usable link, I'll post here.
Oh, the other negative for some, $225

I lied in my previous post, you can check it out at swissarmy.com. The Victorinox site does not have a direct link, sorry for the mistake. -
I'm huge into notebook backpacks and this one looks great. I've been bugging their PR firm for a demo unit to review, but they're less than responsive.

What do you guys think about the BP.3 system whichis also made with Ballastic Nylon and comes in different colors. You can get it at
http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=39 for $120 and looks nice and can fit the bigger laptops! I am considering buying this one but still not sure I want something strong, protective, and stylish that can hold everything I need!
On the way I hope!!! Dell Inspiron 9100

Yeah, Booq makes a good product from what I hear. I tried to review one of their bags but they refused to send us one, LOL. Shame, as I would surely be promoting them a bit more.

It looks like a bag that would fit the bill. Although, it's a little too futuristic looking for my taste. One feature that I noticed that piqued my interests was there seems to be an eyelet for headphones. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one just to compare it to the Victorinox.

I just got a monster of a noebook (hp pavillion) and have been looking for the perfect bag to haul it. These look freakin cool and would make me feel alot better about mu bicycle commute to campus. http://www.boblbee.com or seen retail here :

It seems like the built in laptop compartment fits large computers. It is WAY expensive, but still cheaper than a trip to the repair shop!

Funny you guys bring this one up. I'll have a review published on this bag this week.

I really like the first one, especially the detachable sleeve for the laptop, however it looks to small to carry many books with it and that's something that I need. Thanks though for the posts they really helped me out.

Also check out www.sfbags.com. I just purchased the sleeve case and will be getting the suite spot (cargo bag, pouch, sleeve case) later on. They will deduct out the price of the item you already have. The quality of their product is very good.

I did post my review of the Boblbee bag, pretty odd pack. I have two more en route from Spire and one other firm, so you'll see a few more reviews soon.

I put in an order for this bag because it looks like it might be a good student bag. If anyone's interested, I'll post my opinion of it here when I get it. Maybe some "real world" pics too.

Hey guys I just bought the BP.3 system it sounds pretty solid but it is gonna be a tight fit for my 9100 I will give you guys my opinion of it when it gets here in a couple days. Also that Boblbee bag seems to me to be very uncomfortable like I am 6'7" and that thing seems to mold only to a certain size of person. so unless you are perfect fit for that pack it seems to me to be very uncomfortable. The hard shell seems really nice but not versatile to the different shapes or people![8D]
