I have to say that while i don't like the sensor nor the shape it appears to have the best build quality i have ever seen in a razer mice (and since i had diamondback, copperhead, deathadder lol).

The package is top notch too.

I'm going to get a Tron keyboard as soon as it gets released (chiclet keys + backlit + detachable numpad is like a dream for me :D) i hope it arrives in such a nice package :D

Sweet mouse wish it was wireless. I was looking at the razer naga epic and not having a usb dongle that sits in the usb slot like the roccat pyra stinks so its not portable.

Kind of impractical to use buttons on the opposite side of the mouse. I guess its good for lefties though since the mouse looks ambidextrous.

Yeah I have my G7 in hand and trying to imagine reaching buttons on the right. First its not natural but possible so doing it in a game on the fly with quick reflex is going to be not possible.

Then the second problem is no support, to push on the right side my thumb would be pushing in the buttons on the left side.

Great unboxing vid. I wanted to see a bit of the lighting though.

Im a fan of Tron since i was little. The mouse design really captures it. It would look even cooler next to the tron keyboard.

Its just as similar to your Alienware TactX mouse

I disagree, my TactX mouse is a rebranded G9, or is that a gimmick to you?

I meant spec wise, they are similar.

and this mouse isnt rebranded. Why would you think its a gimmick?

And this is a "rebranded" imperator, so what?.

And actually a G9 is a gimmick IMO.

Yea but the Tron mouse mat is not available in the market yet. :)

Thanks! I will show you the AWESOMENESS of the lighting in my next review vid . . .

You can try it out 1st before you want to purchase it. :D

Yea. The packaging of Razer mouse is really at top-notch. i have bought Roccat Pyra Wireless and Logitech G700 and both of their packaging are so-so. No offense to them as I still love them. :p

Yea. I hardly press the opposite side buttons with my fingers esp. my lady finger. Hardly to press the buttons and certainly impossible for reflex action. in gaming. ;)

I will surely show to you in my review vid. Stay tuned!

Nope. Too busy with my works today. :(

Gimmick - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Its over the top lighting and and if you see how it creates a light trail with its 'made for' mouse pad. Theres nothing to do with rebranding here. Theres really nothing gimmicky about my Tactx mouse, unless the alienhead color changing is a gimmick to you. If anything i would pass off this mouse as a Tron fan collectors, not your typical gaming mouse.

The mouse pad might be a gimmick, the mouse it self isnt. Im sure if AW thought about mouse pads, they would probably put colorful backlighting to it.

Both mouses have LED effects but at least this mouse's design is inspired. They didnt just slap an AW logo and make it change colors.

But none of that matters, Razer and Logitech both make good gaming mouses so even if you slap gimmicks on it, it will still do what its supposed to do.

Very nice review, I like the look of the mouse a lot! If I hadn't just bought my Logitech G500, I'd probably end up getting it. Did you ever figure out the shut-down sound problem?

wow a lag issue on a wired mouse? makes no sense and makes it total fail.

the lift off issue where the cursor moves would be game breaking for a competitive gamer who moves the mouse by lifting.

is this lag issue similar to the sleep-wake issue on the orochi? and yes this mouse is wired too so it doesnt really make sense. No one should buy this mouse if this problem doesnt get fixed.

Contact Razer regarding this issue. Ive found their support to be perceptive.

It sounds like something that can be fixed through firmware or driver update.

Lag on a mouse with 1,000Hz polling? I'm betting something's wrong with yours.

Nope. The sound effect at the shut-down is still not resolved yet. :(

I have re-test the lagging problem of this mouse and I found out that I'm wrong about the lagging issue. :(

The lagging issue will only appears during the startup of my notebook or when I unplug & plug the cable back to the USB port. It may takes up to 8 seconds for the mouse cursor to respond or move from the moment I plug in the cable.

    I have e-mailed them about the sound-effects problem. :D

LOL!I'm a Malaysian actually. Anyway, thanks for your compliment! ;)

    * Updated status = After I have done the triple check with my friend's notebook, I now officially announced that this TRON gaming mouse doesn't have the boot up prob. I personally believe that this is due to my notebook "health" status. SORRY in a million guys for the wrong info again . . .

But I do found out that this mouse responsiveness is dependent on one's PC or notebook. Unlike my Logitech G700 which uses wireless receiver doesn't have this issue at all with my current "unhealthy" notebook.

Nice review, I liked the videos very much.

However, leave it to Razer to produce a Tron-themed mouse though. What's next? A My Little Pony gaming mouse? Maybe it will come equipped with real horsehair you can braid...

That's actually not a bad idea. Something akin to what Tom Cruise used in "Minority Report".
