You need to change the profile to one that says analog, the default one is digital butons only its the drop down box.

Reconnect I think after changing the profile, best profile to use of all of them is the emulated 360 controller, it will work great for games like batman that are designed to use the 360 controller.

Thanks Vicious. Tried and both sticks worked alright.

Problem is, the right analog stick doesn't seem to be functioning properly. Tested this with Batman AA - left stick works great with movement, but the right stick used for camera control is kind of wonky. When I move the right stick left and right, the camera moves up and down, and vice-versa. Tried both Xbox360 emulation and Analog profile 2.

    Thanks again.

View the gamepad from your windows devices and see if windows is reading the analog stick properly. If it is, then its a game issue.

If not then you know something is up with the controller or the drivers.

I actually played Arkham Asylum with keyboard/mouse so I am not familiar with the gamepad controls.

Logitech is coming up with new gamepads.

I hope they are better than the Microsoft 360 pads, which is not that difficult to be honest.

The 360 pads have bad support for older games, the sticks have a quite large deadzone, it's unprecise, not seperated axis and so on.

There is no deadzone at all unless your drivers are set to have one or the game is set to have one.

Separated Axis is again something easily remedied with better drivers.

So I think in your case your argument is against the quality of the drivers not the controller itself witch is top notch IMO other than the d-pad.

    Little Uppity Bupity :D

I get lots of messages in my inbox about this thread, but nobody seems to post in it so it falls back into the archives.

Feel free to say something :D

Also I am accepting any donor/loner controllers that anybody may want me to review and add to the thread (think outside of basic stuff think joysticks and things like that too)

I have an old Sidewinder Strategic Commander lying around, and I think I might have a Sidewinder Dual-strike somewhere too. Not sure if you'd be interested in trying them out. They're both sort of gimmicky, though.

I don´t know if it has been mentioned but the latest version of Motionjoy includes a signed driver by Microsoft.

    Better late than never...

Your talking about the xbox 360 controller emulation right?

If so thats been there for a while and it works great, fixes pretty much any compatibility issue you may have with a GFWL title.

No, I´m not talking about the controller emulation.

In previous versions of Motionjoy x64 you had to disable driver signing in order for the software to work properly. You could do this by pressing F8 at POST or by using Driver Overrider 1.3b.

Well now you don´t have to do that, because Motionjoy got the Microsoft certification to use with Windows x86 & x64.

Just install the software and it works out of the box. Great stuff!

    Cheers

Ahh thats really nice. For me as a tech savvy person its not a big deal, but for general public thats a big thing.

But that means this program is not free for the developer anymore. Like $500 a year for a driver signature so they will really be relying on donations now.

Yeah, he said something about forking 500$ per year to maintain that "signature".

I guess he deserves some donations, the software is really great. Playing F1 2010 with a DS3 is awesome!!!

Hello guys, I plan to get one new gamepad for myself. Do you guys think that Logitech F710 is a good choice?

It might be ok, but why is that your choice?

Its MSRP is $50.00 about the same realm as a 360 wireless controller that will have a larger compatibility and well tested quality.

Playstation 3 Dual Shock 3 was on sale for $40.00 the other day as well.

Perhaps I want to try this out? I'm not so sure about it actually as I seldom use gamepad. Do you think that Logitech F710 is not good enough compared to 360 wireless?

    I have a problem with mitiononjoy and i'm using a ps3 controller
when i play nba2k11 using bluetooth i cant do the "behind the back" and "spin move" but when i connect the ps3 controller with a usb cable I can do the moves easily.

And another thing when i installed motioninjoy I cant use my trackpad because its saying I have a mouse installed, because I disable my trackpad when I use my Asus mouse.

Make sure you select the proper profile for your bluetooth mode, also for the trackpad issue its probably because you have your laptop set to automatically disable the trackpad when an external mouse is detected.

Hi Vicious! Have you tried Logi F710? i am planning on getting one, as i already have an xbox wireless controller but i don't like the d-pad at all.... opinions?
Compatibility with GFWL games seems adressed and i think logi has pretty good build quality!
    thanks in advance !

Just go into the properties portion of your driver and turn it off, if its synaptics there is probably a icon in your task bar you can right click to get the options/prefrences pop up menu.

I have fixed the touchpad problem.

Now the problem in NBA 2k11 is still not fixed, I still need to connect the ps3 controller with a usb cable to do the behind the back and spin move, It sucks for me because I have baught a PS3 controller for the bluetooth and for NBA...

I got tired of the Motionjoy driver. The rest of the BT stuff I have doesn´t work with the internal BT module.

I ordered an Official Wireless Gaming Receiver for the 360 controller I have.

Just a bump this was lost in the archives.

Let you guys know that now that I have a Orochi that I use every day with my laptop I no longer use MotioninJoy for my PS3 controller as the drivers for the PS3 controller will not let you use any other BT device.

So if I plan to game with a controller I will pack the wired 360 controller or the Wii Classic w/ Adapter.

I had MotioninJoy working without the BT drivers wired for a while but it got buggy after a while.

I attempted to use MotioninJoy with their "official" BT adapter (computer I tested it on does not have it standard), and I only got it to work once. I think the problem was mostly with the adapter itself as it would just quit working out of the blue. I ended up getting the Logitech F510 gamepad instead. I've become so used to the PS3 controller layout that I was having a hard time adjusting to that of the 360. The F510 is cool because you can switch between X-Input and DirectInput. The former allows the pad to be detected and set up as a 360 controller. The latter makes it appear like the old Logitech Rumblepad 2. This is very handy for older games in that you can assign the triggers as buttons without relying on 3rd-party drivers and/or hacks.

Now that this has been dredged up from the depths, any chance we can add a Razer Onza review to the list?

You should update this with third-party controllers like Razer's Onza or Scuf controller.
