Oh yay! I just hit my goal. After relaxing a bit and getting my hands a rest I figured I would give this one more shot before bed.

I got 100WPM 0 Errors (that is amazing) 415 points and rank 6278

Now I can finally back off :D

This is motivation for me to practice typing some now so I can get closer to this as an average and not just a pure luck burst typing test.

This test is also a bit easier than most I say about 10wpm faster than the other test I have taken.

No. The force resistance increases with travel. ( PDF Link) See page 2, 1st graph, actuation point is at 60g, that increases up to around 80g near the bottom of a key stroke. 2nd graph is for brown, and 4th is for blue. Not sure about the 3rd one and I am took lazy to look into it. :p

Yeah I want brown or clear. I want the tactile feedback so I know when the key is activated and do not have to bottom it out.

Brown takes less force but apparently the bit of extra force and slightly different activation pressure of the clears make it easier to not bottom them out.

Blues are supposed to be the best for pure out typing since the audio helps but I do not want clicking going on when recording videos and reviews or talking on VoIP.

Pretty sure its down to the Brows in the Das or the Clears in the Deck for me, just depends on how I feel when I have the money to get one.

I told you using your tail is cheating, I'll have to add that as a disclaimer.

It'd probably cost me more to ship it to you from the land of Canadia than for you to buy a new one. :p (Can probably find one for $50 shipped in the US) this thing is hefty with the steel backplate.

yeah I have sold some things to my brothers to the north, shipping was not cheap for a heavy package like a laptop. Not sure what can be done with a keyboard.

    What model/brand is it though?

An iOne Scorpius M10. The key caps are laser'd, but the plastics quality isn't great (compared to me cherry board). Got my money's worth I guess. :p

    Got my new keyboard.

    I choose....

The Das Keyboard Professional Model S w/ the MX Blue Switches.

Only had it for a day so far but loving it. I hooked it up with PS2 since it can use both USB & PS2 so I freed up a USB port that I now use for its 2 port built in USB Hub.

I love the feel of the switches and the "click" of the blues is not bad at all, its not as loud as I expected. Perfect amount of pressure to depress and very fast key recovery.

Its much louder when you bottom out the keys especially the space bar than the click of the switches.

So far I Just have to get used to the travel and the loss of a wrist rest (my old keyboard had one, lucily the edge of my desk is round and not square so its not hard on my hands. Proper typing says hold your hands up but I dont have the stamina for that I rest them when I type)

I pushed my all time typing speed record from 100wpm to 103wpm already and its sure to get better as I get more used to the keyboard.

You dont notice the change of mechanical as much when going from membrane to mech, as you do when you go from mech back to membrane. It feels like it takes so much more force and causes so much more fatigue. I can tell if doing a lot of typing for a long period of time a mech keyboard like this will greatly pay off.

Oh the other thing I need to see is how much I miss the backlight of the keyboard. I am a touch typist obviously so I do not need to look at the keys but I often go to my computer desk at night in the dark and used my Saitek Eclipse keyboard as the marker to know where the keyboard/mouse is and my chair. Now with no light I wonder how it will effect my night time computer use if any.

Once the monitor comes out of sleep it would produce enough light to see the keys if i had to look down for an odd one like an F Key.

KimoT. If there is anyway you could get your hands on another of those keyboard I would be insanely grateful. I'll buy it off you, pay for shipping and then some if you could find one. Im really keen to find another one. I'd even buy yours off you if you would consider it.

I have been super happy with the Das Keyboard so far and I just got a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate DA2 SE on the way as well.

I hope in the future Deck Legend offers the Green Toxic color with the MX Clear switches and then I would probably have the keyboard I most want.

You reached 342 points, so you achieved position 778 of 15950 on the ranking list

You type 490 characters per minute
You have 92 correct words and
    you have 4 wrong words

    Meh, 92wpm.
On my inspiron lappy keyboard, which sucks. Don't have a mechanical keyboard though

I type awesome fast on my G73 keyboard, its not mechanical but the ultra short throw of the chiclet keys makes for fast typing. I am just not as accurate as I am with the Das.
