Razer keep milking the cow. Same thing with different name.
-
It's the same mouse with a different coating and texture. It costs the same as the other DeathAdders, so what's the big deal? Should they get rid of the left-handed version too, because it's the same product with the same name?
-
I like it. I would get one if I didn't already have a deathadder.
-
Not really, they are actually not milking they are doing what the community wants. I would start to check the facts before making such bold comments.
The Black edition was originally given to specific distributors or partners or something like that. When it was leaked people on their facebook page, and people emailed them wanting it so they simply filled the demands by releasing a limited 1337 of them...
As for the unboxing, that thing looks far cooler than I imagined! -
Wasnt the deathadder always black?
-
Not a big fan of these mouses. Far too small for my hands.
-
The DeathAdder, too small? lolwut. My DeathAdder is the largest mouse I own, and one of the largest I've ever used. Certainly larger than the G9x, even with the comfort grip.
-
Yea. I have to agree that DA is one of the largest gaming mouse I have ever used.
-
I have just uploaded the review!
-
they should just called it razer BlackAdder
since it adds so much black onto it -
Regardless of the fact that they just released this new mouse that is essentially identical to the one that came out a few years ago, and ignoring the fact that Razer makes some of the most unreliable and terrible drivers i've ever used, the deathadder is still one of the best gaming mice out there.
-
Ill admit I love the deathadder but also that I simply wont/cant use the drivers. I find I have issues with performance but others I know find it works better so it seems kinda spotty
-
Is there a third party driver that you use? I remember when i first tried to install the newest version drivers, they gave me a blue screen when i tried to run the software. Then it was actually impossible to uninstall them (they didn't function anyway) without getting another blue screen, so Razer told me the only thing that i could do was to go in and edit the registry myself...
Eventually i was able to download and install some older drivers, which managed to overwrite the newer ones and give me something that worked. Updating the drivers is just a bad idea with them. -
Personally, I prefer Roccat's software than Razer.
-
That's one reason I stick with Logitech (I love my G700). Their drivers are one of the few "bloatware" driver panels I'll allow to install on my machine because they just work.
-
Can anybody with a DeathAdder Black Edition confirm whether it suffers from the Z-axis problem?
-
As far as I know, the DeathAdder never had z-axis issues (at least, Google searching "DeathAdder z-axis" brings up nothing relevant); only some of their laser mice did (for example, the early Lachesis with the old 4,000 DPI laser sensor).
The Black Edition uses the same 3,500 DPI optical sensor as the regular DeathAdder. -
I use stock windows drivers. I dont install any specific drivers but all the keys on it work for what I need em for since well back and forward are what most people use while browsing and those keys can be reprogrammed in game for say mic, grenade, frag grenade etc.
