I'm now pretty sure that getting a Macbook with externals would be the best option for me over the ''overpriced'' macbookpro. So I got to choose between the 2 and 2,4 Ghz one. I've also been checking out for some externals. A friend of mine studying in computer science has a lot of used externals at school that he could sell to me. An old mac usb keyboard, an old usb mouse and an old 17'' apple monitor that looked great (looks like this one http://www.necoffee.com/thought/mini.jpg) all these for 15$. I know that it's an old cathodic screen so I'd need to get the mini display to *VGA adapter instead of DVI. Is it a good deal or it's bull crap? Should I get something more recent, the little computer store in college has a 19'' LG Flatron Screen at 190$ that seems great... Is it worth it?...

The mini-display port leads to either VGA or DVI but you need a 34$ adapter (each, whether to VGA or to DVI) anyway.
