Hi. I´ll buy a game pad for my laptop because i don´t like gaming with mouse and keyboard. I like the microsoft xbox 360 pc edition game pad or the logitech chillstream (coolers for your hands are very nice) What do you recommend?

By far the best pc pad to get is just the wired xbox 360 one :p

you can find it anywhere and its of a great quality with all the buttons you need without being overly gadgity like some high end pc game pads.

Just be sure to use the xbcd drivers with it to get the most out of it.

also save yourself the 10$ and dont get the pc edition, get the regular xbox 360 one. the ONLY difference between the two besides the 10$ is it comes with a drivers disk. Once you plug the controller into a vista machine it will auto download the drivers for you, and if you on xp, just go download them yourself (the MS drivers, but again I highly recomend useing the xbcd ones)

the chillstream is nice but the cooling thing is more like a novelty than a real asset. would rather have had a rumble feature than cooling.

Another vote for 360 controller + XBCD drivers

Of course I'm being haggled to buy a PS2 controller. Cheeky monkey! You want to play multi-player, you bring a controller! That's my logic anyway :p

Here's the xbcd install guide. Also check out the profiles on the download page - for example trigger buttons as separate digital buttons are useful in sports games where you'd want to assign an individual command

Saw something intresting today, I went to circut city to buy a G7 mouse and saw the "windows wireless 360 controller" its nothing more than the wirless controller and it includes the wirless adapter for pc. It was 60$ so its more expensive than buying them seperate tho. But I know alot of people wont know better, just like they didnt know the difference between a normal 360 controller and the "PC" version wich was 10$ more just for a drivers disk..
