I hope you can help me. I also hope I'm posting this in the right place. :\
I've been using a Logitech cordless mouse interchangeably with my two laptops for about 5 months now.
Completely out of the blue, the mouse stopped working on both computers. Whenever I plug in the receiver, it says "USB device not recognized, blah blah blah it has malfunctioned, etc."
Sometimes, if I fiddle around with the receiver, the computer recognizes it for about 10 seconds, when it then starts fading out and finally stops working.
I've tried the mouse on a different laptop, it worked. I've tried a different mouse on these laptops, it worked.
And yes, I have changed the batteries. It's not that :)
Sorry if the description is vague...I'm not very computer savvy.

Thank you for any help, it just sucks trying to play Sims 2 with the touchpad. :\

Sounds like your receiver has gone bad. I would try to get a replacement from logitech.

There is also a re-pairing software for some models that you have to use if you change the receiver. You may try to just repair it first to see if that fixes it.
