I recently ordered a Sager 5793 notebook, and am looking at cases to keep it protected during travel and just in general.

At the moment, I am thinking of three main cases but I am certainly open to any other suggestions that you all may have.

The first one is the Tom Bihn Super Ego with the 2XL Brain Cell insert. It seems like a great bag but there are a few cons:
-It is more expensive than the others I"m considering
-It seems a little on the large side... I don't need to cart a library with my laptop

The second is the Matias Laptop Armor 12-17" Universal. IT seems like it would offer the best protection, but I am concerned that there isn't enough space in it to store the charger and a mouse as well as the laptop. Does anyone have any experience with this one?

The third is the Slappa Hardbody PRO for 17" notebooks. This appears to be the middleground between the other two, but I don't know anything about slappa and reviews seem to be scarce.

Has anyone tried any/all of these cases? I would like to hear both pros and cons of each bag.

Additionally, if anyone has any other suggestions, I am open to hear them. to help, what I am looking for is:
-Something that will offer a large amount of protection for my laptop
-Has enough room for the charger and a mouse at least
-Not exorbitantly expensive (the Super Ego is the absolute upper price limit)

    Thanks in advance.

For ultimate protection, go with a Pelican Protector Case.
The 1495CC1 is an amazing case.
Unfortunately it was not bog enough for my Voodoo and the power supply, so I returned it.

You should look for a laptop sleeve, so that you can put your laptop safely in a backpack of suitcase/briefcase.
No matter what you do, dont get a shoulder bagm they are so uncomfortable

Tumi makes some nice designer bags, their manufactured here in Oregon, so hence the high prices.

Thanks... If the Pelican can't hold more than just the laptop then it certainly isn't what I want.

The sleeves are an option that I'll keep open, but I"m mostly just looking for a laptop case. MEssenger/shoulder bags have never really bothered me as long as they are padded.

That being said, anyone have any experience with those three (or any other recommended bags)? Particularly the Slappa, as I know very little about it.

KTron, I don't think Tumi manufactures in the USA any more. I know they had moved most (if not all) of their production to the Philippines a number of years ago, and then moved from the Philippines to Thailand. Last I heard they were going to move everything to China but I don't know if they have.

Perhaps they do still make some models here in the USA, but from what I had heard they moved everything offshore.
