I went out to Circuit City and thinking laptop bags were one size fits all, I purchased a really nice bag without really reading the tags or anything. I get it home and I realize that it says "For laptops with screen sizes up to 15.4"...

    I am getting a P-7805u tomorrow with a 17" screen.

Do you think it will fit? The bag is a SOLO... link here.

I paid 40 bucks for it with a 30% clearance price...

My bag is made for 15 inches and I was able to fit my Dell 17 inch.

Generally no. For example, some 15.4" sleeves/bags can't even fit certain models of 15.4" laptops. The probability that it will be sufficient for your 17" is rather low.

If it will fit, it'll be really tight.

it matters how hard you are willing to shove the living hell out of your laptop into the bag. there may be tears( the wet and ripping kind) though as you force it in

    Just to add.
    Pythagoras...

sgr(15^2+11^2)=18.6 - now, that is the internal dimension.

So compare to your laptop specs - it may just about fit.
(You'll have to find another "Home" for your AC supply though)

If you really really really lucky. Many 18 inch laptops fit in 17 inch bags, so it could happen.

If you have time, take your bag to fry's and try it out on their laptops, if you don't get your laptop by then. Or construct a cardboard box of the same dimensions of the notebook to see if it will fit.

It depends on the bag but I doubt it.

Has anybody noticed that this bag has displayed interior measurements?

Just cross check with your laptop.

The diameter internally is just over 18"

    said to semigamer.

I finished your line for you :)

At OP: I think the Selling It On NBR Marketplace, idea that flipfire stated sounds pretty good if you can't get your laptop to fit in it.

I'd be cautious of these 30% discount claims from liquidation sales as usually they are marked up before discounted during liquidation sales.

No. I actually strongly dislike programming.

There is another reason fot this though - I'm a year 1 maths student.

Anyway - let's stop the off topic discussion.
