Alright so I ordered a notebook backpack from newegg and got it today. However, they mailed me a different bag that looks totally different. Not only that, they put a sticker on the bag I received that had the name of the bag I ordered. Basically they put a false name on the bag, trying to slip one by me. Well I gave them a very heated email. :)

How can that be good? That sucks though. But since newegg is known for their customer service, you might get a better deal ;)

I was being sarcastic, lol. Yea I hope they are known for customer service because I requested overnight shipping for the bag I ordered and to credit my account and thus give me the bag for free. I just thought I should request this because worst case they say no.

Alright it gets even better. So I get a reply from newegg and they say no free bag. That wasnt a surprise to me but they said they will only send my the correct bag until after receiving the wrong bag they sent me. So basically it will take 3-5 days to ship back, a few days to process, then another 3-5 days to get the bag I should have had all along here. I should have had the bag today but now it looks like I will wait a few weeks. I sent them another heated email and we will see what they say. Am I right here? I should definetly not have to wait for them to receive the wrong bag.

Its a mistake on Newegg's part but I suppose they would want the bag back first before shipping - thats how it works everywhere.

It could have been a mistake while shipping. Even still a free bag would have been nice, I would just ship it back and get it over with.

Oh I already have the package all set. I am just waiting for their reply for immediate delivery of the correct bag. I can totally see me having to send the product back first if its defective but this is totally their fault. This isnt a common return, its their fault so they should be penalized, not me.

But we will see how it goes.

send them a cheap plastic bag from your local shop with the same sticker on it - give em a taste of their own medicine.

Alternatively send back the bag and wait for them to send through the right one, i doubt they'll budge until they recieve the wrong bag back, just ask for some kind of discount on the price and a reimbursement of and P&P costs from returning the bag that they sent you.
