Hi there folks! I'm currently finishing buying my gaming setup (I bought a Samsung NP700G7C to a forum member), and I'd like to know what do you think about this peripherals:

Gamepad: Logitech G13 or Razer Nostromo

    Mouse: Logitech G400

Mousepad: XTRAC PADS Ripper XXL/Razer Goliathus Extended

Laptop Cooler: Zalman ZM-NC2000 or Cooler Master Notepal U

Headphones: I don't know, I wan't a quality pair but my budget is pretty limited right now ($50)

Backpack: Also, not sure if I need one since the laptop will be on the desk 95% of the time, but it's nice to have a good bag if needed. I was thinking on the Slappa Velocity Spyder/Matrix.

What do you think about this peripherals, are they worth it? I mostly play FPS on console but want to make the leap to PC. Any other accesory worth considering? Thanks!

Nice machine! I definitely think a good bag is worth it, even just for going on vacation or traveling once in a while.

If you're on a limited budget and looking for a decent pair of gaming headphones, may I recommend the Plantronics Gamecom 777?

They can be had for right around 50 bucks on Amazon. I've had them for close to a year now and they're still in excellent shape. They have virtual 7.1 surround and the sound quality is surprisingly good for the price.

I have a G13 and it's not the greatest. I think the Nostromo is better. I think you've made an excellent choice with the mouse, I have a g500 but if I could do it again I'd get the g400. I'm not crazy about the wheel on the 500.

    Thank hockeymass!

I was thinking on a all purpose headphones, something like the Sony MDR-V6, tho they are above my budget. Something I can use with my Zune HD and Receiver.

The Nostromo is 10 bucks cheaper than the Logitech, but the only thing that worries me is the build quality, since Logitech appears to be more well put if you like.

What do you think about the coolers? They are darn expensive, but the laptop seems to requiere a good cooling solution.

Quality wise, the Nostromo and G13 are pretty much the same. It's just a preference of how many buttons you need and comfort. The Nostromo is better in terms of ergonomics. I own the Belkin n52te (what the Nostromo is based on) and have tried the G13. Overall I prefer the n52te which is excellent for FPS.

Ok, I think I'll go for the Nostromo since it's better looking (imo) and cheaper anyway.

What do you guys think of the other accesories? Currently I have doubts about the backpack, but the slappa looks a solid buy, maybe someone who has experience with their products can give feedback?

The cooler is expensive, but I think the laptop needs it, since I'm a temp controlling freak. Also, I've been looking at the Audio Technica ATH-M30, they are about 50 bucks on amazon and have pretty good reviews.

In the past I had a Sennheiser's HD202 but ended up giving them away since the build and overall sound quality weren't that good.

The Superlux 668b / Samson SR850 are good replacements for the MDR-V6. However, I would save up and get something like the Audio-Technica AD700 or Sennheiser HD558. The larger sound stage will really help for fps gaming.

Those Audio Technica do look good, however it's the quality backpack or a quality set of Headphones, and I don't think I'll be using then that often. Any other accesory are worth for a laptop gaming setup?

Buy from a place where you can return easy, these stuff are really subjective.
