This might seem like a stupid quesyion, but hey, I'll ask it.
I just bought an Asus G751 and the power supply is the big guy. I have an 18 inch case that I put everything in. The charger would technically sit on top of the laptop in the bag. I know the PC is built well, but is the charger too heavy to sit on top of the laptop in the bag? I've never worried about this before, but this, for obvious performance reasons, is a lot heavier than other power supplies. I don't want to crush the screen or anything. Wondering if anybody else carts theirs around.
Again, I know it might sound silly, but it's brand new. Figured I'd ask in case anybody has a random horror story about a damaged screen or something.

I've seen people using very thin mouspads between their screens and keyboards when traveling. It adds an extra layer of cushioning when the lid is closed. You can also put your laptop in a sleeve before putting it in the carrying case. That will add another layer of protection. I doubt the adapter sitting on the screen will be enough to do any damage. There will have to be pressure applied for damage to occur.

My cases have side pouches that the 230w G750 power supply fit in fine. One needs the AC cord removed and put away in the opposite pouch.
I wouldn't put it in the front pouch as that will bounce up and down into the cavity that holds the laptop.
If you must use the space otherwise occupied by the laptop, stuff a jacket / sweater - mind the zippers and buttons, to use up the available volume.
Books, magazines (staples in the binding), clipboards, keyboards, mice, headphones, cables / connectors all can / will over time scratch up, ding, or if the right impetice is provided - crack the screen.
If you have a tight fit in the bag, the edges of the laptop will rub - and rub off the rubber coating.
That's why many use a slip case to protect the laptop in the bag.
This Asus Nomad backpack - packing video - is a good example of how to pack for isolation and protection.
And, yes, the Nomad has well designed compartments to carry keyboard, mouse, headphones, power adapter, etc etc. Notice the larger side pouch opposite the water bottle sling, that's the power adapter pouch.
The Nomad is a great backpack for the G751/G750/G752
