....or whatever you crazy kids are calling them these days, jump drives, etc.

I need one, at least 2GB, good quality but nothing super-fancy. It will mainly be used to keep some documents on and transfer files from one computer to the other...ya know, kinda like what it was designed for, lol.

I don't know anything about these, other than I keep hearing to stick with FAT.

Beyond that, I don't have a clue. I just know I don't want one that is going to take an hour to transfer a gig worth of files.

Recommendations, or at least point me where to look?

Well, if you're asking for help, it might be wise to not come off sounding like a...

Anyways, I like the Sandisk Cruzer Micro's, but really any of them will work. Check Newegg.com or your local electronics shop.

I recommend SanDisk cruzer micro's, there small, fast, and I have never had a problem with them.

    other good manufactures are:
    PNY
    Crosiar
    Kingston
    Vebatium

I recommend not get the cheapest 2gb stick you can find, because it will be cheap and when you drop it on the floor etc. you'll be glad you spend the extra 10 or 15 dollars.

I have a dry sense of humor. If you took offense to that, well, then I envy you. You have very little in life to worry about.

But, thanks for the help, ya crazy kid.

And thanks yuio, I'll look into those.

I picked up a 4GB Sandisk Cruzer last night at Best Buy. It's not bad, works well, but it feels like it is going to break if I ever drop it or happen to put it somewhere I shouldn't. I'm going to have to be very careful with it.

I've dropped mine about 20 times and nearly poked someone's eye out, and it has yet to develop a scratch.

Unnamed01, that is indeed just a normal flash drive. It looks like it will work on computers with USB 2.0.

The sandisk cruzer is fine if you want plastic but i recommend the titanium if you want added protection for your data.

There's no point to pay extra for the titanium one. It's more expensive and a lot heavier while the plastic one will not break.

sandisk cruzer are as good as any really I kinda prefer PNY ATTACHE myself. This is really just a preference though. I have used many different brand and this just seems to fit best to my liking.

Cruzer micros are awesome. I got myself one of the new 8GB ones and love how fast and reasonably priced it is.
