Which is the best deal?
Samsung 2220WM for $199
Acer x223wbd for $169
Westinghouse LCM22W3 $167
Evision G22LWK $150
None are for gaming. I would just watch movies, internet, word files, Photoshop on it. Any personal experience with these monitors?
-
On paper, the Samsung has the best brightness and contrast ratio.
However, there's no telling until you go look at them in store as it is all based on personal preference.
I believe Best Buy has all these monitors available for you to look at despite the fact that only Target sells the Westinghouse for that cheap.
Mind sharing where you can find that Acer on Black Friday? I need a monitor myself. -
The Acer is in Circuit City, I believe. Anyone else have experience with these monitors?
-
i have the acer and i love it.. that westinghouse is also a nice monitor ive seen one in person. imo the acer was better though
-
westinghouse, is going out of business i believe and they have had some ****ty customer service. you should check out www.newegg.com and read all the reviews on there. for all brands you have listed and then make your choice.
-
I've checked newegg but reviews are so sparse for the Samsung monitor. In terms of accurate coloration and sharp pictures, which one would you guys recommend. If you have any other deals on 22", that would be great too.
-
where did you find the samsung for that kind or price?
-
It's on black Friday but I don't know which ones to get.
-
OK you answered when, but what about where?
-
at CC for the samsung.
Com USA for Acer. -
The samsung is the best monitor. But it is also the most expensive. It all depends on you. I'm sure any of them will be fine for basic use.

anyone own a HP 2408? That monitor looks great compare to other at best buy.
-
viewsonics
-
There was a 22" Viewsonic with iPod dock for $190 ut it was an open box item. Basically, I just want the best monitor for the money. Samsung's are great but I'm not too sure of the other brands.
-
-
I have a samsung its very good, I look at alot of monitors before choosing this one. Wasnt keep on the Acer's.
-
So the consensus would be that the Samsung is worth the extra money? I wish there was more reviews on this particular model. I've read about 1 review for the Westinghouse and Envision (which were rather poor) and I own an Acer (but it came with okay image quality and a dead pixel which was disappointing).
-
Hanns-G also makes quality monitors, for prices slightly below that of the same Samsung monitors.
-
Any particular Hanns-G models? 22" for less than $200?
-
FYI - I guess I'm not the only one looking for BF 22" monitors

I got the 22" (16:10, 1680x1050) Westinghouse from the local Target.
Compared to my 17" (5:4, 1280x1024) monitor, this thing is massive. I can work on two standard 8.5" x 11" documents side by side (it's not an actual size 96ppi like the other monitor, but the 90ppi is close enough).
The built in speakers are good for general use and iTunes-quality music, but anything higher fildelity sounds dull. There's no inline power brick, it's probaly inside the monitor shell, so that's a big plus.
There's no adjustable viewing position, the monitor simple snaps into the plastic base. In my situation, this one fixed position was not a very comfortable one, it was pointed too far down. I padded the front of the base with a wad of post-its.
Despite its faults, it's an awesome monitor for ~180 USD. -

Anyone else bought monitors from Black Friday that they can briefly review?
