    Hi,

A week ago I purchased a Toshiba laptop P35-S611 and the Bose multimedia speakers. The Bass output from this setup is very feeble. I have maxed the volume control on the laptop, on the windows media player and on the subwoofer. But still not as good as it sounds with Sony disk man.

I tried this speaker with HP dv4050US and Sony T250L (not too sure about the models), both were better than Toshiba P35-S611. I have also tried with another P35-S611 in the store and this was no better than what I had.

    I want to know
    · If the Bose speaker is supported for the laptop
    · If I could use a different media player and get better output
    · If others have faced this problem
    · If there is anything else that I could do to get a better bass.

It would also be good if somebody could share comments on the sound card in this laptop. If this is no good then I got to accept that there is no fix.

Toshiba says that this is a gamers PC, is it unusual for gamers to use extra speakers? I was surprised when the Toshiba representative said that no body had complained about this before L

I am considering returning both the laptop and the speakers and hence any help to fix the problem will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

PS: I talked to both Bose and Toshiba before buying these, both said affirmed that it should work.

Hi, its my first post so just say hi to all,

Also that if you want 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound i think the best way to get it in your toshiba its thro an external Toshiba Multimedia Center Audio they call it, http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe..../generic_content.jsp?service=UK&ID=000000296c
part number: PA3390E-1MPM, ive just order it today and it should arrive tomorrow, Cant wait to have 24-bit sound!!!
its costing me £78.43+free delivery, but i think is more than worth it! it has 4x USB 2.0 hub, IR port (2 less things to buy i needed both!)
plus i will not have to plug in 4 USB cables each time i go home!!

Im preaty sure it works with most laptops.

ill tell you how it goes tomorrow!
