I use a trackball on my desktop and I want to get a wireless one for my incoming XPS M1530.
Any suggestions? I can settle for wired.

I have only found this one so far so I'll get this one if no one has any better suggestions.

It has good reviews. -
Logitech has good wireless mouses.

Hi, here are a couple I found w/and without *Bluetooth* but with the *trackball* you want
Also Vista compatible, if that is what you are using.
Hope this helps

Here is a list of track balls from tigerdirect canada. They also have an american site.
Personally I enjoy the Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman
. I do not own one although I would. For comfort I recommend you go to your local computer store and try out the ones you are interested in and also some you are not just to see which one is most comfortable for your hand size and shape.
Good luck! -
I have my track ball for 10 years minimum, and still works well, I just have to clean it once in a while, and is very easy, you just open around the ball, but I don't see that in the new ones.

Slightly off-topic, but what are the advantages of using a trackball over a mouse?
-
The track ball can be stationaly while the mouse cannot. Laying in a bed etc a track ball is far easier to use. Also some gamers love to use wired track ball for added speed. Although it is not recommended as it is VERY VERY difficult to game with a track ball
-
Yeah, I hate mouses, you have to be constantly moving it all around, with the trackball you just move the ball with your thumb, no hurdle getting your mouse cord entangle.

I prefer my touchpad, personally..then my MS Bluetooth Wireless 5000 when at my desk or out-and about
Just my opinion

This is how I feel. And I play a lot of games and my trackball doesn't slow me down a bit. I don't know why other people have problems with playing games with them. Well. I use a trackball like the one Wireless man shows in his picture. I have never tried the ones with the ball in the middle or on the right side of the mouse.
O! And thanks to everyone who posted something. I helped me out a lot. Now I just have to choose which one I like the most. -
Be sure to let us know what you decided on
-
gosh,, i remember the old days when notebooks came w/ trackballs
-
I'm going with the logitech one because it seems to be the only one of the type I want. I can only get the wireless one online though.

Good deal for you!
Glad you decided on the one *you wanted*
