After trying to install a Creative and Microsoft webcam, I keep running into the same problem. After installing the drivers and connecting the camera, an error bubble pops up saying that an error occured during installation and the device may not function properly.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I also have tried using clean boot mode as suggested by Creative tech support. Does anyone know what the fix could be ?

Update: I have tried the suggestion of Creative, to do a clean boot and then try. But after doing this I still had no success. So I tried another webcam on the laptop (Dell) and I ran into the same problem with the Microsoft webcam.

I tried installing the webcam on another laptop and it ran smoothly. Any suggestions since I now know it is the laptop that isn't letting me get any webcam up and running?
